| Vedantin,
the director of SchoolYoga Institute ((RYS), is a Certified
Vinyasa Ashtanga Yoga Teacher (CVAYT) by BNS Iyengar at
Patanjili Vinyasa Ashtanga Yogashala, Mysore, India. He
is also a certified Sivananda Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher
(Yoga Siromani). He believes that yoga is the synthesis
of all yogic paths amongst Patanjili's 8-limb yoga, devotional
yoga (Bakti Yoga), action yoga (Karma Yoga), and Yogic Living
in Theory and Practice (Juana Yoga). There are many yogic
paths but the essence of all the paths is One that is to
realize the SELF and to be in the state of contentment,
happiness, and bliss.
Vedantin is a wilderness instructor certified and affiliated
with Wilderness Education Association (WEA). He has led
wilderness backpacking trips for over 10 years. He enjoys
the experience of wilderness adventure and loves to share
his passion for the tranquility of the wild nature. He sees
the raw shakti of the wilderness is the most suitable place
to embrace yoga sadhana practice.
He was born and raised in a Buddhist community, the sacred
Emei Mountain. He has learned Buddhist principles at early
age and integrated them into his lifestyle. Practicing meditation,
Taichi, Chigong, and Chinese Martial arts was an integral
part of growing up. He started to teach these principles
over 20 years ago.
When he was first introduced to yoga that he has found
yoga has all aspects of Buddhist principles, mind, body,
and spirit . Practicing Yoga has been instrumental for his
life realization. He believes that love, life contentment,
joy, peace, and bliss is not from ever changing world but
from inner stillness, the true Self. He teaches yoga to
others with his heart and love of yoga.
Vedantin has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. Currently
he teaches yoga at SchoolYoga Institute, San Francisco Sivananda
Yoga Center, California State University Stanislaus, and
a local health clubs. He offers teacher training and certification
program (RYT 200) and travel frequently to offer SchoolYoga
workshops to school teachers across the nation.
Dr. Luo is Vedantin's other name when he resumes his duty
as a professor at California State University Stanislaus.
He teaches courses related to Community Health and Physical
Education in Teacher Education. He loves his profession
as a educator who is able to share the wisdom of knowledge
with others. He is a professor but the most importantly
he is a practitioner and he practices what he believes.
